The B’s Grand Wedding Album

From garden ceremonies to grand weekends, The B’s Grand Wedding Album is a living collection of Berkshire love stories—past and present. We invite you to share yours and help us celebrate the many ways love has been honored here.

There is something enduring about a wedding in the Berkshires.

Maybe it’s the way the landscape holds memory—church steps worn smooth by generations, gardens that bloom year after year, dance floors set beneath tents glowing into the night. Or maybe it’s the people: families returning home, friends gathering from far away, local makers and vendors shaping moments that linger long after the last song.

With The B’s Grand Wedding Album, we’re creating a collective celebration of love as it’s been experienced right here—across decades, styles, traditions, and stories. This is a living, growing digital album, built from real weddings in the Berkshires: your grandparents’ ceremony in a Lenox church, your own mountaintop vows, a backyard gathering, a museum soirée, a modern cultural ritual, or a quiet courthouse “I do.”

We invite couples, families, and photographers to submit a favorite wedding image and a few details about the day—where it took place, who helped bring it to life, and what made it meaningful. Together, these stories form something bigger than any one celebration: a portrait of love, commitment, and community in this place we’re lucky to call home.

Explore the album as it grows, discover the people and vendors behind these unforgettable days, and—if your heart says yes—add your own chapter to the story.

DEREK AND KEVIN
September 20, 2025
The Mount, Lenox, MA

Derek and Kevin’s wedding at The Mount was a celebration more than a decade in the making. Every element was carefully considered and beautifully executed, creating a day that felt both timeless and deeply personal. It was fun, classy, intimate and the perfect reflection of their love story.

Their favorite moment came during the ceremony, standing together in the garden as they exchanged vows surrounded by family and friends. The setting was extraordinary, framed by lush flowers and accompanied by the sounds of live violin and guitar. It was romantic, heartfelt, and the perfect beginning to the evening.

The reception design was classic with a modern edge. White and green florals accented with gold paired seamlessly with ivory linens and black chairs. A bold black and white dance floor anchored the space, while black crystal chandeliers and a glittering disco ball transformed the room into an elegant celebration. As night fell, the forecourt and the exterior of the house glowed with rainbow lights, adding a playful and unforgettable touch. Guests enjoyed thoughtful details such as rainbow fans, a lively photo booth, and cocktails named for Derek and Kevin’s three beloved dogs.

For couples planning their own wedding, Derek and Kevin suggest enjoying every moment. They found that taking portraits before the ceremony allowed them to spend cocktail hour greeting their guests, something they both valued. They also shared a reminder that has stayed with them: perfection is not the goal. What matters is knowing you are marrying the person who is your home. With that perspective, everything falls into place.

Working with Derek and Kevin was such a joy for me. Even though they admitted they are not big fans of being in front of the camera, I loved being able to help them feel comfortable and at ease. Photographing their engagement and wedding sessions was not only fun but so rewarding. I even managed to capture the personalities of their three energetic dogs with my signature squeak. From family portraits to candid moments on the dance floor, I felt honored to preserve their day in a way that felt elevated and authentic.

JILLIAN AND SCOTT
October 24, 2015
Gedney Farm, New Marlborough, MA

Scott and Jill both grew up coming to the Berkshires — Scott for camp, and Jill with her family — and early in our relationship it became our favorite place to escape from New York. When we got engaged, we knew we wanted to get married somewhere that already felt deeply special to us. Gedney Farm was the perfect setting for our wedding—an idyllic backdrop paired with incredible food. Our entire wedding party stayed with us at the Inn, and the whole weekend felt like a celebration from start to finish, especially getting to share the Berkshires—our favorite place—with our friends and family. The entire night was a huge dance party, in fact the venue told us the next day that they could feel the floor shaking from below the dance floor. Best. Night. Ever. Five years later, we ended up moving here and now live just down the street from Gedney. As a wedding planner, it felt like things came full circle when I began planning weddings there as well. Each year, we return to Gedney for incredible meals and always point it out to our young kids as we drive by.

Our first date (influenced by Michael’s mother and Robin’s aunt) was at Bizen in Great Barrington. We dated for a year then got engaged. We wanted our wedding to celebrate along with the peak of autumn in Litchfield County so October 16th was perfect. Anne Day of Salisbury, CT was our photographer and Matthew Robbins was our floral designer with a theme of brown and hot pink. John Baricelli from Martha Stewart Made our cake: white cake with raspberry and pistachio filling. Our first dance song was “Can’t Help Falling in Love” by Elvis Presley.

ABBY AND JOSH
May 31, 2025
Linde Center at Tanglewood, Lenox, MA

While Josh and Abby went to high school together, their love story came to be in the Berkshires. Back in 2020, Josh moved to his parents home in Richmond, MA to hide out during Covid. Abby was living in DC at the time, and wanted to come up north to see her parents and escape the isolation of living in a studio. Turns out, Abby’s parents have a house in the in Richmond as well. On one fateful evening, Abby’s mom reached out to Josh’s mom having met one another prior through a mutual friend. Josh’s mom invited them over that very evening for some wine and cheese. Excited to see a fellow millennial, Josh spent the evening chatting and getting to know Abby. Before leaving, Josh asked Abby if she wanted to kayak the next night, and so it began! Josh and Abby had their first date on Richmond Pond, which was where Josh proposed three years later. Josh and Abby knew without a doubt that they would get married in the Berkshires. Tanglewood is a very special place to both families, so it was a dream to get married at the Linde center and show all of their loved ones the beauty of the Berkshires!

CONNOR AND ENRICO
June 16, 2018
Mazzeo’s Ristorante, Pittsfield, MA

Mazzeo’s has always been our go-to date night spot, so when it came time to select a venue that could accommodate both of our families, we couldn’t think of a better place to celebrate. It was a DIY kind of day, with my mother handling our florals, my sister decorating the rest of the space, and both sides of the family tackling the rest of the odds and ends… Rico’s aunt even flew in from California to marry us! We had signature cocktails (The Dark and Handsome, his take on the dark and stormy, and The Key to a Good Marriage, a key lime martini), homemade cotton candy as favors, and a DJ that kept everyone on the dance floor (shoutout to my mom for doing the worm). We enjoyed a family style dinner for extra coziness, and our cakes—his favorite chocolate, and mine lemon raspberry, both from Marketplace—were decorated simply, letting the spotlight shine on ‘The Old People,’ a family tradition for every wedding on my father’s side.

The food, the music, the company—it was a spectacular day!

JENNY AND CHRIS
September 27, 2025
Ice House Hill Farm, Richmond, MA

Jenny is one of my childhood best friend who is a Berkshire native but now resides in Washington state. She chose to get married back here in the Berkshires and as I own Mahaiwe Tent, I of course was happy to help her through the process. She decided on Ice House Hill Farm in Richmond, MA as it has 360 views of the Berkshires and is under a mile from her home. It was in late September, the perfect Berkshire fall day under a large tent – live band, amazing food and even better company.

KATIE AND NOAH
July 26, 2025
The Lake House Guest Cottages of the Berkshires, Pittsfield, MA

Photographing Katie and Noah’s wedding felt like a homecoming to old friends. I’ve gotten to know (and have photographed) Katie’s extended family over the years through her Aunt and my friend Tammy, so being part of their wedding day felt personal and full of heart.

I loved hearing how Katie and Noah met in high school and stayed together through years of long distance. Katie attended Boston College and Noah was serving in the military and despite these obstacles, their connection was unmistakable. Photographing them didn’t feel like work; it felt like documenting something beautiful, honest and effortless.

Their bridal party, made up mostly of cousins, brought a lighthearted, close-knit family energy to the day. The Lake House Guest Cottages on Pontoosuc Lake set a perfect scene, with just the right breeze and a sunset that appeared at exactly the right time.

Katie and Noah told me their first dance stood out most. To them, it felt like the world faded away, even with everyone watching. Another favorite moment was stepping away for sunset portraits, taking a quiet breath together by the water as the light softened.

The reception tent was filled with classic New England summer touches, blue hydrangeas, white and gold accents, and the sound of “Here Comes the Sun” as they walked down the aisle, right as the sun began to shine. Their advice to other couples? Katie recommends getting a head start on planning, and Noah encourages finding moments throughout the day to focus on each other. His suggestion to share a private last dance is one I’ll be passing along to future couples, they felt like it was such a meaningful way to close out the day.

Lisa and I were honored to be there to capture it all from the big, joyful family moments to the quiet ones that showed their incredible connection. Katie and Noah, thank you for choosing me – it meant the world to me to be there.

LAURA AND DAN
August 23, 2025
The Mount, Lenox, MA

Laura and Dan’s wedding at The Mount in Lenox was the kind of day that reminds me why I love photographing weddings. Elegant without being fussy, heartfelt without being staged. It was everything you’d want a celebration to be.

Their first look felt special. They both felt emotional before seeing each other. The way they lit up when they saw each other was private, authentic and beautiful. It’s moments like this that remind me why I always encourage couples to carve out that private time together before the ceremony, it gives you space to breathe and just be. Watching them melt into each other and take a deep breath together was exactly the reason Lisa and I are passionate about documenting first looks.

The vows and speeches that followed spoke volumes. Friends and their fathers echoed in their speeches what we saw all day long, that Laura and Dan are genuine, kind, and completely themselves with one another. Dan’s vows especially stayed with me: he said that all the small choices in life led him to his soulmate, and that fate, not luck could only have been responsible to bring them together. They took their time with their vows and the words felt as timeless as the setting around us.

Of course, they didn’t just tug at heartstrings, they also brought the fun. Their choreographed first dance had everyone cheering them on. That blend of quiet confidence and pure joy is exactly who they are.

Laura grew up here in the Berkshires, and together they spend their time outdoors with friends and family. They asked me for natural, guest focused photography, and that’s exactly what I love to create. The weather was perfect, the light was gorgeous, but what stood out most was how seamlessly they fit together.

Laura and Dan are the kind of couple that remind me of what’s possible when two people truly know themselves and what matters most. Smart, successful, and grounded and they made The Mount their own on their wedding day, and it was a privilege to be there capturing it all. Congratulations to a wonderful couple!
