Molly Coleman and Jack Vickery live in Manhattan, but they knew they wanted to get married in the Berkshires. The area “means so much to both of us,” says Molly.

The couple first met as middle schoolers on a ski racing team at Ski Butternut—Molly coming in from New York City, Jack a local (his mom, Kelley Vickery, is the founder of Berkshire International Film festival). During their three-month relationship, Jack visited Molly, where they shared their first kiss on Pier 25 in the Tribeca neighborhood. Years later, they reconnected and started dating, and on their five-year anniversary, Jack proposed near the spot where it all began when they were 12.

For their wedding, they envisioned an outdoor event with a rustic mood and daisies and wildflowers, and Gedney Farm, with its “incredible food,” fit the bill. Though rain loomed in the forecast, the day was sunny and warm. After a ketubah signing with family and friends, the pair exchanged vows in a Reform Jewish ceremony before 150 guests. Sweet details made the day feel special, from the couple’s dog, Bingo, serving as ring bearer to the friendship bracelets, handmade by Molly, that the guests took home.
